Got one of these with the screw holes in the trigger housing stripped that hold the lifter assembly in place. Of course the owner does not want to spend much money on it. Does anyone know if the aluminum is of the quality that it can be tig welded? If so, what rod to use? Could probably try JB Weld or something similar, but doubt that would be a permanent fix. Maybe one of the Loctite adhesives for sleeve retaining? Any suggestions besides a new housing or junking it?

you can get low temp aluminum rods that work using a common propane torch and fill, drill and tap. I've fixed the old higgins trigger housing tips with jb weld and they worked out OK but I would think the aluminum rods would be a better fix. you could maybe oversize the screws but I can't say for sure or helicoils but both are judgement calls and if it were me the rods would be my choice. 0
