Rimfire Rings
I've bought an old Weaver 3/4" diameter C6 rimfire scope off "another site" and instead of the standard 3/8" rings for a grooved receiver the seller included rings for a 3/4" tube, but a Weaver base - in short, rimfire scope ring size, standard high power rifle clamping base. Where the heck can I get 3/8" grooved base rings for a 3/4" scope tube? I don''t even know what the heck to google.

I'ld give fleabay and Brownells a shot. 0 -
^^
I've poked around both with various searches, zip. Considering how much people replace the cheap little things you'd figure there would be tons of them floating about. I'm thinking buying a cheapo $9.00 scope and slipping off the rings is best.0 -
What are you mounting the scope on? 0 -
Redfield used to make 3/4" rings for 3/8" groved receivers. Weaver also made them 0 -
Yes, the 3/4" scopes look so correct on smallish rifles like the Browning 22 Auto. If it were only for readily available 3/4 inch rings...Hmmm
Seems that no one makes an adaptor for the 3/8 to Weaver either. I can imagine that by the time you get the thing adapted it will look almost as bad as an oversized one inch tube scope.
Best

Doug,
Glad I was able to help for once. Let me know how you make out with them. I think a picture would be nice[:D][:D]0 -
I agree with dfletcher. 0 -
www.kwiksitecorp.com has all the adaptors you may want. Look at www.sportsmansguide.com part #WX2-197863
Ebay has a bunch, put dovetail to weaver in the search.0 -
Weaver makes/made a low profile adapters TO-9 and TO-10. They fit the 3/8" groove on a .22 and only add 1/4".
I first posted just the TO-10, but Brownells catalog shows a TO-9 too.
My memory fails me sometimes, don't know which I used. search for both.0 -

I have the little Browning with Redfields on my Browning 22, it does "look right". I don't want to use the various adapters, the rifle is the newer made "Winchester/Browning Model 63 with a grooved receiver, so I want clean. I was debating the older Weaver stamped steel version, those are easy to find I've discovered.
Hmm, thank you for the link - I must ponder a second or two ....
OK - done. [:D]0
