model 70 ? pre 64
when did winchester start drilling the two scope mount holes on the top of the rear receiver bridge on pre 64 model 70's. I am out of stste and forgot my Madis book. Thanks

I thought it was closer to the 1950's. Reason Being is Remington was the first to drill and tap a production rifle, the 721/722.0
