Bolt Jeweling
Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith who can jewel a rifle bolt? I lvie in pittsburgh, pennsylvania and don't know the reputation of any of the local gunsmith. Thanks.

I am looking at get the bolt on my ruger mk1 jeweled. Are there any negatives to this process? Positives? One positive is that I like the look of it! Does anyone out there have a pic of one that has already been done? I'm looking at paying about $60 for the process. 0 -

Might get it done for free there.

If you have a drill press you can buy or make the jig and brushes and some 120 grit compound and do it yourself.

I've had several done by Dave at IT&D Custom Guns. He charges $45 plus reasonable shipping. He is in Minerva, OH. I'm not sure how far that is from you. He's got good website too.
