    Hello leathers,

Serial 1223659 most likely has a "W" stamped on the bottom of the receiver frame (below the serial number)... can you please confirm that.

    Serial 1429721 should be a "Flat-band" Carbine.

The Cody Firearms Museum research office can provide you with the exact day that serial 1223659 was struck on the receiver if you are interested (for a nominal fee).

You are correct on the W stamp and the flat barrel band.

I have a 94, SN# 423827, with the number 75 stamped just in front of the trigger. Any idea what this signified?

    Thanks for your help!

Serial 423827 is a November 1908 vintage Model 1894. The "75" stamped in front of the trigger is an inspector's stamp indicating that it passed a "fit and finish" inspection. The CFM has the PR (date of manufacture) records for it as well.
