Help identify 98K

got a nice 98K in 30.06 marked R.Famage 1952/any ideas about who made it/where its from? Has no import stamp/Paid 200.00/thanks mike

It was reworked in South American country of Columbia, in their military arsenal. These were originally early production, probably German made Mausers. If yours is marked with a "30" and has the front of the receiver notched out, probably rechambered/rebarreled to 30-06. No present great collector value, because of the rework and all original markings removed.
