pedersen 4000 trap?

what is the history of this pump action trap gun? was this the mossberg 500 in nicer clothes? what are they worth in excellent cond?

  "From 1973 to 1975 Mossberg owned and operated Pedersen Custom Guns, they made higher end versions of the Model 500, the 4500 and a model 4000 that had a completely engraved receiver. They made higher end versions of their bolt & lever action centerfires of the day, too."
  
  Interesting! This is the first I ever heard of them. Never knew that Mossberg ever made high dollar type guns.
