  the older ones made in the phillipines are pretty damn good. i have one of the .44 mags that has been on a 7mm stw since '97 and it still is doing a good job.the new ones from CHINA are junk.

  There okay if you use them on low recoil rifles and you have 20-20 vision.

  Love my WTC 6.5-20x50 w/ AO on my Savage 22lr. Have a second one to go on its twin in 22wmr. Probably one of the best inexpensive scopes out there, although the Centerpoints at wally world get OK reviews on rimfirecentral and a few other forums.

  I've a 6-24x40 that seems to be well made. It has 7 elevation calibration rings for different calibers.
  Country of origin is Japan.
  I've had it since they came out about 10 yrs.

  Just pulled one out of the box yesterday as a temp on a new AR I was shooting. Power adjustment ring is almost impossible to turn and the "quick focus" is required each time I changed distance. This was a Master series which is supposed to be better than the really cheap line. Not anywhere near the bottom line Bushnell even though price is similar.
  I usually keep a few low priced scopes for customers who just want cheap and this is the last Simmons I'll have on hand.

  I have a white tail classic in 6-24x50. It is an ok scope. Lenses are clear enough that I like it. I had it on a rem 700 .223 for a while with no problems. THEN I put it on my .30-06 and kablooey with the first shot. Too much recoil shook the insides loose. Will not hold zero. Can not BE zeroed. Has to go back for repairs now.

  I have a couple of 22 mag scopes that are decent. Not great but decent. That is as far as I would go with Simmons.
