Chrome plated Haenel Sport Modell 33
I have a chrome plated Haenel Sport Modell 33 air rifle that my Dad brought back from Germany during WWII. Bolt action seems to work good, however something is not locking the plunger back. Nothing happens when trigger is pulled. Gun is in very good condition with some small pitting on the chrome. Any idea what this gun is worth? Thanks in advance.

Why don't you try pyramid air? they've got a blog run by a collector. 0 -
I have a older copy of the Blue Book of Airguns. A original functional Model 33 would be in the $300-$400 range. Since they were styled as military trainers with full length stock and bayonet lug, the plated finish might not be original. This was quite commonly done by the G.I.'s, i.e. having their souvenirs nickel plated. I have seen many P 38's and Lugers that have been ruined collector wise by being nickel plated. 0
