Had a customer ask ? How do you apply for one of these ??? what forms ? with what agency ?

  When you get a denial from the phone call, you can get a reference number. Give that number to the customer, and have them call
  FBI NICS Section Customer Service at telephone number 1-877-444-6427
  
  They need to call quick, supposedly the denials (and reference numbers for them) are purged after a few weeks.. ..

  A Voluntary Appeal File (VAF)is available from the FBI by calling 1-877-444-6427. This will allow the FBI to maintain a permanent history file for an individual and to assign a Unique Personal Identification Number, (UPIN) which can be entered on line 9 of the form 4473. An approved finger print card must prepared by a law enforcement agency and must be submitted with the application. There is no charge for this at the present time, although a law enforcement agency may charge for completing the finger print card.
