I have a vintage Lee Loader kit that is missing the charge table sheet and the main body die has stamped "300" on it. Would that be 300 WIN MAG? , 300 Weatherby? etc. Both or other? How would I know for sure? Thank you!! [:)]

  300 Savage more then likely, it was still a pretty popular cartridge back in the 50's/60's time frame.

  Measure the intierior (base) diameter of the sizing die. If it's close to .473 it's 300 savage. These kits are for neck sizing IIRC, so it will be a tad larger. If it's larger then you need to do more measuring.

  I suspect that rufesnow is right. You could always contact Lee or make a cerrosafe cast. Fun stuff to work with and if you get some you'll find uses you hadn't thought you would.

  Easier way - sizer body length is the determinor: if body is so short that anything longer than .300 Savage couldn't fit in, then that's it.

  The box was handwritten 300 wea on one end and the charge table was missing but there is a copied one with it (300 Weatherby) and dated 1963 so I just wanted to be positive that it was a 300 Weatherby and not something else. In comparing pictures of other auctions the main die definitely looks to be the 300 Weatherby. Thanks again!!
