quick reloading ruger mk ii pistol
Shot a rimfire speed plate shoot this weekend - got 2nd in pistol division, using iron sights. Pretty proud of my self for it.
However, reloading really slowed me down. Any tips on faster reloading with the heel mag release ? Obviously changing pistols to a 1911-22 (GSG or a 22 conversion) or a Buckmark will give the "proper" thumb release for the mag, but being poor that isn't much of an option for me.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

As I said, a new pistol isn't exactly realistic for me.
I'm looking for help with technique, or possibly some modification ot the Mk II. Is there anything like an replacement mag release that is extended?0 -
Volquartsen makes an extended heel latch and they work well. Brownells carries them. 0 -
yes there are extended bottom mag release parts available, just google for them 0 -
