Help identify these two items.

I am asking for help again! I need to identify two items. The first is a rear sight ladder and slide. The ladder has a peep that would be used when the ladder is folded down. It has graduations from 2 to 16. The slide has a peep and is marked on each side with a capital "E".

The second item looks like it might mount on a barrel. I have no idea what it is used for. I got these items with a lot of gun parts and these were not identified. Any info will be appreciated.

  The sight looks like a 1917 Enfield's. E for Eddystone, maybe.

  I believe #2 is part of an assembly to mount a spotting scope to a shooting box.

  I would go with scope mount too - this is the "mount" part of a carry handle AR type scope mount. The scope, a Hakko 3X21, would sit atop and is secured by 4 screws.

  Thanks! The first item is definately a scope mount for an AR15 or M16. Any idea on value? Can anyone verify that the sight is for the 1917 Enfield? Value? I also have one with "R" stamped on the slide.

  Per Model 1917 sight: "R" stamp is for Remington.
  
  Value: Well, a 15-year+ older Gunparts catalog shows the rear sight listed at $20.00 bucks. Maybe they have it on-line for todays price?
