What makes this model different than the regular 1300 ?

  I'm pretty sure that it was just a marketing ploy. Internal parts are still identical to the original 1300 pump, and actually the same as my piece of junk Sears Ted Williams model 200 pump. They could have called the Ted Williams model the 'Speed Pump'. Same guts inside receiver.
