Mauser-Interarms Luger 9 mm
What can you tell me about this pistol? I found one NIB yesterday at Scheels. Looks to have never been fired. Seems very well made. Anyone have one of these? Thanks.

By the 1970's, there was only 1 set of original tooling left for Lugers. So, Mauser in W. Germany was able to make several thousand, which were imported into the US by a couple of distributors.
They are the last of the "real" Lugers, although they don't have the collector status of pre-WW2 Lugers. Many folks with them leave them unfired to maintain NIB status.
What's the asking price? They can be found easily on GB auctions, in the $1,200 range.

Asking price $1099.00. I generally don't leave any of my guns unfired, I enjoy collecting but shooting is my hobby. I'll probably purchase this gun and fire it. 0 -

Have had one from Interarms since the early seventies. A six-inch Swiss model, bought NIB. Fun to shoot, very reliable, sight is right-on target. Make my own ammo with 100 gr FMJ from Hornady, since discontinued. Flawless operation, but wear a hat, as the empties go straight up. BT 0 -

I have a 6" 7.65 American Eagle that shoots very well.
It came with a medallion, 2 mags a tool and instruction book.
Interarmco fixed a mag problem.
If you research the NRA publication, there is a very nice article on
loading and shooting the 7.65 at long range.
You can also fit another barrel and barrel extension (tuning fork) to enable shooting both calibers.
I wouldn't bother with the 3 5/8" 7.65 as you cant get worthwhile velocity from it.0 -
I think this is what your talking about. I bought this a couple years ago. Shot it once. It jammed with 115 gr FMJ, I think it needs hotter ammo, or it just needs a break-in.
L7, does the one your looking at look like this, with the grip safety?

That looks identical to the one I saw. Comes with spare mag, box papers, cleaning rod and a tool of some kind. It's on hold for me now. Seems it was purchased by the store and their policy is to hold it for two weeks before resale. I have purchased a lot of guns from this store mostly from one associate, he alerts me about interesting guns that show up. 0 -
