Rimfire Scope
I think I already know the answer, but are there any good quality 3/4" tube rimfire scopes out there? I would like to put a small sized scope on a newer Miroku made Winchester 62. It's a small rifle and pretty much any 1" tube looks just too big on the darn thing. All the 3/4" tubed rimfire scopes look and are priced cheaply, I don't want to put them on a nice rifle.

Not sure of the model # but Redfield made a nice 3/4 scope. The original Redfield before they went out of business. Heavy black/blue finish, bell front and rear objective, no click adjustment 4x.Scaled down version of their centerfire scope line. Back in the 70's. 0 -
There are lots to choose from. Why not try a red dot or a reflex...
The reflex is good and fits nicely in the gun case.0 -
Going to be hard to come up with a good 3/4" scope.
The Red dots in my opinion will look worse than a 1" scope on that small of a rifle...
Burris makes a compact scope that might fill the bill if you can locate one..0 -

Check out GB auction #254232977. There is a Redfield-Browning 4X there. I had one of these on a BL-22 and it is just the right size for them.
There is another one at #254096252, but he is asking quite a bit for it.0 -
I was going to mention the Redfield 3/4" scopes. I have one (Browning branded) on my Browning 22 semi & like it very much. What I really like about it is that in my ignorance I paid about $80.00 for the thing & at the time wondered if I paid too much - obviously, I did not. But the $250.00 to $325.00 prices being asked is a touch proud for me. 0 -
I'd go for a 3/4 period type scope from the 1930's - 1950s, such as a Lyman 438 FIELD, or one of the many less expensive Weavers which were excellent scopes fitted to the best of rifles of the day. I'd even consider one of the Malcolm reproductions if you want a new scope with the old look. Sorry, but I over looked the cost factor. 0 -
If all else fails I've got a 1.5 to 4.5 steel Weaver with a post reticle looking for a home , fairly compact. Natchez has the very small 4X Burris Timberline too, that would work well. 0 -

Redfield marketed a high quality 3/4" scope from 1965 until 1973. It came in 2 3/4X and 4 X. These were called the Sport-STER 2.75X and the Sport-STER 4X. These scopes were also sold under the Browning name but I don't know what Browning called them. I think one of these would be exactly what you asked for. The downside is the price. You can expect to pay $150.00+ for one. Redfield, maybe others sold excellent rings for these scopes. I don't know if the rings are still available new but do show up on the auctions. 0
