fox model B

When did they start adding the duck seen to the bottom of the receiver on the model B ? I have a Chicopee Falls 16 that has it and a Utica NY 20 that has no engraving at all. I have seen the engraved Fox head only on guns made in Westfield. Does this make the Utica gun the elder. It appears to have a serial # on the water table.

  My Dad bought a Fox mod. B in either 1954, or 55 it has the ducks on the bottom of reciever. no sn

  Only the Fox model B s in 16 and 12 had the duck scene.. The 20 either did not have the scene or had a quail grouse scene on it.. 20's were not use much in duck blinds in the 40s and 50 s

  The gun was not made by A.H. Fox but by Savage Arms Company which took over the Fox name in 1930. (Chicopee Falls, address)
