Value of Hungarian R-61
Just looking for a value range on my Hungarian R-61 in 9x18 or 9mm Makarov. Has the box and holster with 2 magazines both with a matching serial number to the gun on them. Not just scratched in but stamped in...that is what makes it neat. Gun is in good condition...I bought it in 89 from SOG or someone like that...had an ffl then... and have never shot it much and never carried it.
Thanks in advance

It's not nearly as common as the PA 63, might have more value because of that. It's more the size of the Walther PPK. Which makes it more compact and lighter then the 63. Course when trying to hold it when shooting the 9mm Makarov cartridge, that ceases to be much of a advantage. My WAG is if you can't find a collector who would be willing to pay a premium because it's a uncommon ex paramilitary pistol, you would be looking at $200/$300. 0 -

Check this site out, regarding it's use by the Hungarian police. Many of the police in Europe are militarized and live in barracks, unlike our guys.
