Problem with Mossberg 88 12ga

Now I find that the stock is too long for me. How do you shorten the stock? Can this type of stock be shortened a couple of inches without doing any damage? I picked it up today and like it except for the length of pull.

Synthetic stocks are hard to shorten that much.
Pull the recoil pad and see how hollow it is that far in.
The tabs where the screws most likley will be gone if cut off.
There are shorter stocke out there for females and children.
Also adjustable may be the way to go.0 -

My guess is not. The two tabs inside the butt stock aren't that wide. You might want to poke around on auction side for some thing shorter or a wood stock.

the above one is a 12in lob the factory one is pushing 14 I believe.0
