    I own a few Police positives and police positive specials.
    They shoot well but are more lightly made than a S&W M&P, I would not shoot +p in any of them. My favorite is in 32-20 and I load it down to BP levels, my .38 special has a tight bore and shoots .356 cast bullets great.

    Nowadays with the advent of most folks switching to autos, and many inexpensive ones available used, due to the economy and police trade-ins. Old Colt revolvers unless they are collectors quality aren't big buck items. Check out the on-line auctions for actual selling prices, to get a ball park feel for what they are going for.
