Hope you all can help, i had posted previous about this gun, but of course, pictures tell all, the serial # is 90. I would like to sell the gun, but need some help figuring the value. Thanks.

  The pictures do help However you need to take closeup pictures using MACRO setting on your Camera if it has one.

  Hello Karen,
  
  I can see two very glaring issues (problems) that negatively affect the collector interest (value).
  
  1. There is an extra (non-factory) hole drilled in the upper tang, it it was drilled through the factory marking... bad news[:(]
  
  2. The butt stock is noticeably undersized at the juncture with the receiver frame and butt plate, and that is a result of it being sanded and refinished. The forend stock has also been sanded and refinished.
  
  In addition to the afore mentioned problems, there is precious little original finish left on the receiver frame (it is mostly a brown patina).
  
  Finally, there is a filled in hole where a sling eye was once installed in the butt stock. The other sling eye is still present on the forend stock nosecap.
  
  Based on what I see in the picturtes, your Model 55 rifle is worth approximately $500.
