In general "messing" (as you put it) with gun triggers is not for individuals who do not know exactly what they are doing, because its pretty easy to make a gun unsafe by doing this (eg drop-unsafe, unreliable, etc).

Cobra patriot was designed to be a double-action striker fired pistol.

Its supposed to have a long heavy trigger pull, both to act as the guns safety, as well as to provide the mechanical energy to cock and fire it.

I kind of doubt there is any practical way to make the trigger pull shorter, though maybe you could install an overtravel stop so that the pull ends right after the gun goes off. This improves trigger feel and accuracy.

There probably is a way to slightly lessen the trigger pull by altering spring tensions and the like, though there is only so far you're going to be able to go without compromising the reliability of the gun.

Thanks for the information. I have no real problem with the trigger pull, other than it hurts my fringer if i shot for too long. My father suggested that I look into possible shortening it.
