    There is no right answer to this question. It's totally dependant on the individual rifle. Are you sure you mean "corrosive" since it's pretty hard to find corrosive primed 223(5.56)?

    There are more ammo choices in .223/5.56 than any other caliber. Start buying/shooting until you find on you like.

    I agree with Mobuck: it would be hard to find corrosive .223 ammo. Corrosive "ammo" is usually a function of corrosive primers used in military ammunition prior to and during WWII. By 1950, few ammunition makers were using same, which pretty well rules out .223/5.56
