I just recved from repair my Glock 21.
I sent it in 25aug11 and rcvd it today
    13sep11.

Now, I see it has a new serial number.
How do they do that without me signing
    one of those silly forms.
Also how much exposure with the new serial no get
    as far as authorities?

The only way(s) that they would have returned a G 21 with a different serial number is if they had replaced the old frame with a new one, or made a mistake and sent you somebody else pistol.

First thing I would do would be to check out the paperwork they sent you with the pistol, i.e. see if it gives an explanation for the new serial number. If there's nothing regarding the new serial number in the paperwork, contact Glock in GA and tell them you want a invoice giving both the old and new serial numbers.

Depends on your state and city of residence. If neither require registration of handguns, I wouldn't sweat it. Long as you have the paperwork from Glock that they replaced the frame, that's all you need.

Unfortunately if you reside in one of the commie cities or states that require handgun registration your going to have to go to the local law enforcement agency which controls this and change the serial number of the pistol they have registered to you.

No, Glock does not register the new ser #, it would be your responsibility "if" that was required where you live.

I returned a damaged 9mm Marlin Camp Carbine to Marlin years ago. They replaced it with an entirely new gun and it was reflected in the paperwork they returned with the new gun. I just entered the new serial number in my records and that was it.

    Thats what I did Lefty.I
live in NH and my "go to" FFl
    keeps all paper work
in his own files, so he says.
Other than a call for background
I guess the info goes no where else.
