Ruger Mark II

I have A Ruger Mark II Competition Slab Side Pistol that came from the factory drilled & tapped for A factory base & Ruger rings that came with it. I am wonting to put A 30MM Red Dot Scope on it. Who makes A one piece base that will fit & be stable on this gun. The Factory base that came with it is A one piece with 3 mounting holes & 3 screws. Does Ruger make A set of 30 MM rings that will fit the base?? Or will I have to use Weaver Style base & rings & will it have to be 2 piece??

  Just bought a Ruger Mark II today and I would like to find out when it was made. S/N 224-07960, Model 00183. Its in mint cond. with x-tra clip and factory plastic box. Paid $200.00

  I am no expert, but I do believe that they are not compatible because of a lever on the MKIII on the left side is different. I'm sure that somebody with more knowledge will come along soon to clarify further.[:I]

  ya they should. I did a grip swap. The only thing is you will have a small round notch where the mkIII mag button should be

  Thanks for the help I think will just go with the grips for a Mark II and play it safe.
