357Sig vs 40S&W Part II

Here is an interesting article about a comparison about the two calibers along with the 45ACP and 9mm.

For what it's worth, my Glock 20C shoots 10mm, 357Sig, and 40S&W.

  My response to this is along the lines of what was said in the piece. Its good to know 357 SIG offers great penetration through metal sheets, *if* you think you're likely to need to shoot through metal sheets or other cover.
  
  That doesn't necessarily make the 357 a "better" round. . .just better for that particular application.
  
  For example, if you consider that in study after study, Police officers typically miss their targets 75% of the time in shooting incidents, issuing them with bullets that can rip through cars, walls, etc may NOT be such a good thing!

  I agree that penetration is not necesarily always a good thing, but in reading a lot about this caliber, by its design, the round offers a lot in terms accuracy, consistancy, reliability, and is a comparatively very flat shooting round.

  I am impressed that the .357 feeds in the long magazine (front-to-rear) of the 20C. I tried for a long time to get a Para .40/16 to feed the .357. After consultation with Irv Stone, Ikey Starks and Mike Stoner we decided that the stubby .357 in a magazine designed to fit in a .45 depth mag well was the cause of the round's tendency to tip nose down when trying to feed.

  No problems shooting 40S&W or 357sig out of the 10mm mags. (No choice, can't find 10mm locally) Also no problem feeding 357sig out of a 40S&W mag in another gun. Possibly the followers have something to do with it.
