FEGs are made in Hungary (or were). I don't think anyone is importing them into the USA anymore.

The usual FEG guns are basically clones of the Browning Hi-power. They're good enough copies that they take the same magazines, and at least some of the parts will interchange. They're also built with forged frames and slides, and ought to be pretty tough.

Haven't shot one myself, but I've heard they work fine.

Your particular gun is sort of a Browning Hi-Power exterior, but in .45ACP, and with a Smith and Wesson-like DA trigger system instead of the Browning-designed one.

I'd be surprised if it didn't run fine with ordinary 230 grain .45 ACP ball ammo, but ultimately, only you can tell if its reliable. . . shoot it and let us know!

Problems? Should anything break, parts may not be all that easy to come by. Also, I just read an internet report someone had about their front sight coming loose during shooting, requiring them to have it silver soldered down into place.
