Ruger Red Label - Pre-1993 vs Post 1993 - Question

Wanted to ask if anyone knows anything good or bad or different between the pre-1993 Ruger Red Label O/U shotguns vs the Post 1993 version. So far the primary difference I see that changed was the type of screw in chokes - the post 93 Red Label chokes are longer....Any reason why I would not want to own a Pre-93 Red Label??.....Thanks for all feedback....Mark

  I own a pre 93 got it new in 86 has a mod. and inproved cyl. 26. inch bbls I have use it for everything from Duck hunting to pheasants and shot a little skeet with it never had problem.The best thing you can do is pattern the gun and see how it shoots. my gun at 40 yards patterns 98% in the mod bbl.and 95% in the inproved cyl bbl.can't do much better than that.
