How well do they hold zero after being removed and remounted?

  Are you asking about the post type with lever on the base or the weaver type with the lever on the ring? I've found the post type to be very, very good - about an inch @ 100 yds, I have them on an HS Precision takedown 2 barrel set. The "QRW" type - not so good. I have (had) a pair on an M1A Scout and found elevation fine, windage changed quite a bit, over 5" or so.

  I have actually found both to be decent, but with the weaver type, you have to be careful about the torque you apply when re-installing. They are no diffeerent than any other ring made for the weaver base, including most tactical rings. I have used a torque driver to set to a specific torque, and they are well within an inch.

  I have yet to try the Burris P.E.P.R. mount, but it mimmicks the LaRue Tactical mounts. I can tell you that the LaRue Tactical mounts are spot on. But then again, the way they are set up, things are consistant with the torque applied to re-install them.

  The post type worked well for me, my habit was to tighten the front a bit first then the rear, then really sock down the front and the rear. Seemed to work well, have no idea if my "method" helped at all.

  Post type work great and are right on and the type I prefer.
  
  I don't really trust the Weaver type QRW for a return to zero without first test firing the gun before going to the field hunting after a quick change due to the base of the ring not being latched down correctly sometimes.
  I can use the screwdriver type WEAVER rings with better results than the QRW by taking whiteout (typo type) and after the ring is set put a witness mark on the screwdriver slot and onto the ring, remove the rings and re-install to same reference mark. The whiteout witness mark first assures that the ring base is seated corrected onto the base then when the clamp screw is snugged with a Quarter (not a big screwdriver) to the witness mark all is as before removal (witness mark's won't aligned when snugged if setting incorrectly) and the point of Impact is within 1 inch MAX at 100 yards. Note that I said WEAVER bases and rings, NOT THE WEAVER STYLE IMITATIONS bases and rings, THAT ARE SOFT METAL JUNK.
  In my opinion The weaver STYLE junk is what gives the real weaver bases and rings a bad rap.
