GUNSMITH FOR S&W 380/200
I have a WWII produced S&W which is in 38 S&W or 380/200. It has a five digit serial # and 5 inch bbl. Locks up tight and is fairly accurate with a mild load of Unique pushing a 158 grain LSWC. Some of the black painted WWII surface remains. Bore is excellent. Seems a bit loose and is missing one of the extractor alignment pins. Has smooth wood grips, laynard ring, etc. Later models are referred to as "Victory" or Model 11. Wood like it looked over, tightened up, & refinished to blue or parkerized? Advice? Gunsmiths?

You might post quality photos of your S & W. It might be worth more to a collector if it's still factory original and in descent cosmetic condition. The W W II S & W's 38-200's use to be around in great numbers years ago, they have pretty much dried up and are being sought after by collectors nowadays. If you refinish it it will lose all collectors value and just be another bubbaed S & W.
Recheck your serial number. The Lend Lease S & W's sent to the Brits had six digit numbers over 680,000.0
