finish on Kimber model 82

I purchased a Kimber model 82 gov from the CMP an would like to refinish it to remove the razor cut, can anyone tell me the type finish Kimber used? I want to use the correct remover the first time. I'm open to suggestion if you refinished yours. thanks

  These were military match rifles with just the barest amount of finish reason being many competive small bore shooters modified their stocks for personal fit . Formby's furniturerefinisher and then MINWAX or Truoil.

  I put 20 coats of Danish oil on mine. The finish on mine looked like some kind of a spray-on brown paint. I used a spray-on chemical stripper to get it off. I have a nice flay finish now.
