Value on Mitsui & Sons SKB 500 Skeet?
IIRC, Mitsui was the post-Ithaca importer.
Serial 556xxxx. Lots of scroll relief and engraved screw heads. 26" bbls.
Some blue wear on bottom of receiver from much carrying open over my shoulder. Shallow scratches in butt stock and original SKB recoil pad.
Now for the kicker: I had Clearview choke tubes installed. I think they're still available and are premium tubes. I paid $55 apiece for them back in 92. They're both roughly IC, .010.
Oh, and it's 2 3/4 12 gauge.
Thanks!

Hmm, guess I'll hang on since that's just $30 more than I paid 21 yrs ago, and it was a steal then. Not to mention $225 more into it for the clearviews. 0 -
Jake,
I've shot mine for years and love it, paid about what you paid for yours. I've shot alot of more expensive guns that don't work any better for me.

Yeah, I love mine too, though I haven't shot it (or much of anything) for years. Used to shoot skeet or SC almost every weekend, when I wasn't walking behind my Brit during quail season. Now the quail have pretty much vanished from North Texas, and doves just don't do it for me.
Was thinking of selling to help pay private school tuition, but I'm sure not looking to give it away.0 -
just sold a ithaca/skb 500 here for $530 98% 0
