Identify this!

I think this is a broken shell extractor. It is about 6" over all length. The knob on the short arm is about 0.295 in diameter. It is marked: M.P.CORP. Any info as to caliber, YOM, value, etc will be appreciated!

  It's for a M-1 Garand 30-06 about $15.
