Ruger Vaquero pawl

Can a pawl (I thank thats what its called) from a New model Vaquero be put in a regular Vaquero. When loading I want the click to sound when the cylinder hole is lined up in the loading gate, not right after the cylinder hole passes the loading gate. Thanks

  If you get the click to where you want it during loading, the cylinder will stop where you don't want it when you cock the hammer full-back prior to firing.

  I don't think you can use the N.V. part but Ron Power sells conversions which include a hammer and trigger with a real half cock.
