REM-UMC & Peters headstamps

I maybe should have posted this on GD but it seems more like a handloading question: I was looking through some of my shelves last night for something else and came across 2 boxes of NOS unprimed Peters brass, .300 H&H in the origional boxes. It got me wondering when the Peters and REM-UMC headstamps dissappeared and became R-P. Anybody know?
