Remington 660 question
Local shop has a 660 in 308. The area around trigger guard seems to be a little "pooched" out. It looks kind of like the bolt holes are slightly to close together cuasing the trigger gaurd/assembly to look like it is scrunched to tightly from front to rear. Since the assembly is plastic is this normal? Does anyone know if there are metal replacements for it?Thanks.

Metal replacement trigger guards are out there, do a search. I bought one 10-15 years ago for about $80 I think.
The original ones often look tacky.0 -
Your problem is very common with the 600/660 series. Most I see have some degree of deformation. Replacement with an aftermarket metal guard is the best remedy. Sorry, I don't know where to buy these; I need 3 myself. 0 -

There was a guy here on Gunbroker who used to sell aluminum replacements. I bought one from him and it fit my 600 like a glove! [8D]

That name sounds familiar...could be the guy I am thinking of. I have his card somewhere. I will have to see if I can find it.
