  The Shin-Gunto says 30 on the tang and I can't see any other markings. That really doesn't make much sense by itself so you may have an Australian, Indian, or Chinese fake. Impossible to acertain without a close hands on inspection.

  Looks like something out of India or Middle East (the ones with the rounded pumel).
  
  p3skyking - Close. It's 31 (forgot to read the last line). Year in Showa or 31st in lot or 31st in the line or day? It's kind a intersting how the first few lines is very similar to Roman numerals. Then the "+" translate to 10 kind a like how "X" is ten in Roman numerals.
