could someone advise me what a good price to pay for each of these?

the sig is gen 2, short trigger/melt job

both in excellent condition.

Those are both very good handguns, and will serve you well. Going rate will be $500.00-600.00 each, depending on the goodies, such as night sights or not.

i paid $600 for a factory refurbished p229 a year and a half ago. i hope this helps you.

Prices should be about the same given similar conditions and features. The H&K light rail, at least on the early USPs would only accept the H&K light unless you got an after-market adaptor. The H&K does have a wide variety of safety/decocker options so be sure you know which one you are getting - the V-1 is most common, it is a right hand (left side of frame) that will be on "Safe" in the up position (either cocked or uncocked) and will decock if pressed down past the "fire" position.
