Help ID this savage .22lr plz

i just inherited this 22 from my grandpa via my dad and i can not find any other markings on the gun/barrel ANYWERE stock on or off. Reason is i am tryin to find a clip for it and have no idea what she is

    Looks like a Model 23A.

    i know it is not a 23A cause if u look at the rear cocking bar or what ever its called the end is different. and if it is why would it not have a model number on the barrel/reciver. though i do think it is related to the 23a

    well maybe this one??? i did not know. if it is the one below can anyone give me rough idea what it may be worth? since in the link below they seem to kinda rare? only real flaw to mine is cotter pin in cocking bar and the surface rust (will be adressing very soon)

    ^ yea seems that way found the other numbers. i guess serial numbers????? idk???? under butplate in the wood 10608 and on underside of butplate same numbers.


    are they really rare???

    .22 rifles, in well used condition, with missing parts aren't big buck items. The one on the auction is in substantially better condition then yours; and hasn't sold.

    What collectors of mass produced, obsolete, commercial firearms, look for and are willing to pay big bucks for, are factory originality and cosmetic condition.

    yea i understand all that above. just wondering if i got to look new/proper condition what they worth? say in the acution i posted?

    Anyone got any idea were i could track down a FACTORY savage magazine for it?

    FWTW....I would rather have a firearm in original condition such as this than restored. The looks of it tell its history and is much more appealing to me than a new looking gun.

    oh yea she has some hisory behind her. my grandpa's dad bought it brand new for my grandpa. he learned to shoot on it. then when he had son's of his own (5 sons) they learned to shoot on it and hunt with it. then so on i did also so it has ALOT OF rounds/kills on her belt. It will never be forsale that is why i did not mind to make her look new again. just wanted to bring her back from dying age. mostly in honor of grandpa lookin down on me.
