Taurus 63 Rifle

I have a Taurus 63 rifle and would like to drill & tap it for a one piece, turn in front/windage adjustable type base. I see nothing listed, not even for the Winchester 63 it copies - anyone have an idea on which base for another gun might work?

  you might have to modify an existing base to fit. I'd look at the base for a short action rem.m-788 (fairly short and no offset)

  Try taking a look here and you might be able to think up something other than d&t your reciever.

  If nothing else pans out you might consider giving the customer service folks at Brownells a call, or send them a e-mail. They have been in business for years, and have handled many different mounts with different set-ups over that time.

  I think bugging Brownells is the way to go. I've considered the dovetail barrel mount, but I'd like something that looks good on the gun in addition to being functional.
