age of rem 25

I picked up a Remington model 25 in 32 WCF (32-20), and the barrel is stamped "ANN", indicating a March 1944 production, yet they were only manufactured until 1937. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

  How about Mar. 1922 ? as that's the only N code year that fits .

  Makes sense to me, too, but I don't know why it would be double stamped--maybe in error?
