Marlin 1894
I have a Marlin 1894 in 32 20. I was using it today and it quit firing. a couple of small pieces came out of the reiciever. One is a thin piece about an inch long and the other is a 1/4 " piece that looks like it may have broken off????
Any thoughts? Are they as easy as a Winchester to work on?

Col. William Brophy in his book on Marlin Firearms notes that serial numbers for a number of models with the 1894 being one are complete from 1883 to 1906. During this period 355,300 of these rifles were produced. Brophy also notes that the serial numbers for these particular models did exceed 450,000. One could estimate that yours was produced in late 1909, if they were to extrapolate the total production numbers for the years 1904 (23,200), 1905 (18,500), and 1906 (26,300). 0
