Saving my Savage M 29-A, Thread 2
My local gunsmith told me the following parts were needed to repair my Savage M 29-A.
-operating plunger
-operating plunger spring
-lifter screw
The rounds were not cycling from the tubular magazine into the chamber when pumped.

Operating plunger & spring? As in the tube magazine? If so, that's an EASY fix. You buy a complete replacement build it yourself tube mag kit from Brownells for about $30. Easy to assemble w/usual home tools.
Most gunsmiths will make one for you, using same kit, for just a little more.
Here an example. Not sure if correct one, but might be.

According to Numrich's schematic, the parts referenced are numbers 34 and 43, not the magazine parts:
