It's not just states that restrict black powder guns, it's also cities & counties. You need to know exactly where you will be shipping it. Your ad should state, "Do not bid if receipt of this item is not permitted by city, state, or local law."

You should have received a "State Laws and Published Ordinances: Firearms" CD-ROM; look it up for the winner.

Dixie Gun Works which is the source for these kits, states in their on-line adds that they are not sold to buyers in New Jersey and Canada. I would use that as a guide.

Seeing that the kits are so inexpensive and no more then cheap nickel/dime novelties, I wouldn't be wasting any time and effort on trying to sell them on the on-line auctions. Very unlikely your going to get any more money for one, then for what Dixie sells the kits for. Sell it locally so you won't have to lose any sleep about the feds, and commie states like New Jersey.

The State of New York is OK except for NY City where it must go to an FFL dealer.
