DOM Rem. 81 help please

I just acquired a Remington Model 81 in .300 Sav. Serial # 17086. Anyone know what year she was born? Thanks for any help.

Remington dated their guns on the left side of the barrel, just forward of the receiver. It will be in the format of letters of the alphabet. If you can give us the letters one of our folks probably can help you date it.

The rifle would have been shipped in 1941. Probably manufactured the same year.

The 2 letter code is B K. I looked at the chart but it indicated Jan. 1963?

It lists 2 K's, 1 in 1941 and 1 in 1963.

1950 was the last year the model 81 was made
