Remington 1100 20ga receiver serial #

I've had this gun for about 35+ years (I think).

Receiver serial is L102516X

I've found limited info on this via googling. Can anyone help with manu date and what this means?

Just can't quite remember, but I may have changed barrels along the way to accommodate screw in choke tapping. Kinda fuzzy on that, so barrel info is unreliable, and doesn't have much anyway, certainly no numbers besides a few stamps on either side, and clearly stamped Remington, etc.

  If you changed barrels out no way you can date it from the barrel markings. You are going to have to contact Remington customer service. Their phone numbers and e-mail address are on their web site.
