WINCHESTER 94 MFG 1965
Customer has one made 1965 he says is either chrome or stainless steel. Did they make these in that finish and if so what is reasonable asking price? He's calling it a Winchester 94 30-30 Chrome. Ser #2868128 manufactured in 1965...The gun was never fired and is in nearly pristine condition. .

Well, being a Post 63' model, if the finish is factory original, $500.00. If the finish is not factory original, then about $350.00. Check the auction side, it will bring about what a contemporary model will of the Post-63 manufacture.

The Blue Book doesn't show any of the Standard Model 94's of post 1964 manufacture sold with a nickel finish. 0 -
And, it sure isn't stainless steel.
If I were buying, I'd pay no more than $200 for a 94 with an aftermarket plating job. Unless done by an expert (which we don't know), I'd hope for the best, but would not be surprised by function & peeling problems.
If I were selling, I'd hope to get $500.

When Win. went to the investment cast receivers in 1965 they black chrome plated them, the later ones were iron plated and blued. neither came be refinished (and still look good). I wouldn't place any 'added value' on one. it's still a cheap post '64 94 0
