Remington 572 date ??

Hi I bought my son a remington 572 22 pump gun I cant find the serial number and I am looking to see when it was made the barrel codes say BFK but it cant be made in 1937 by no means so does any one know how I can tell the age of this gun Thanks for any help Ed

  No serial number means that it was made before 1968. My WAG that the letter "K" in the barrel code stands for 1963.
  
  Contact Remington if you want it from the horses mouth.

  Seeing as they came out in '55, yours was made in 1963
