Your starting bid price is real close to what it is worth. What you should add to the auction listing, is that it is a March 1899 vintage gun. Some people will mistakenly believe that it is an "Antique" when in reality, it is not. It was received in the warehouse in August of 1899 in the exact configuration shown in the pictures. 0 -

That's a very nice rifle and priced right to draw attention! In reference to the bore, please describe what you mean by "fine". For example, is it shiny, smooth and free of pits, or what? Also, does the exterior metal finish have any freckling and pits beyond what appears to be same in the pics? I'm tempted to make a bid myself! [:D]

Yes it is a nice rifle Kimi, the woman said she had a nice old Winchester and she did. Bore has good rifling, it has a shine, being 1899 it has been fired but no pitting. No rust or freckling, as stated, 5% blue rubbed off from all the years of handling. No cracks or checks in the wood. 0 -
