What is your oppinion on the Springfield 1911 high cap that was manufactured a few years ago?

WOW That is sort of like asking BERT H what he thinks of a BROWNING HIGH WALL single shot model 78 . Springfield make a very nice line of pistols but I for one prefer the Single stack 1911. Let me think about IT and I will see if I can be more positive. The main thing is IF YOU LIKE IT then you can't go wrong. [^][:)]edit just as a side note "you are aware that the current SPRINGFIELD has nothing to do with the MILITARY ARMORY that was in business for the U.S. GOVERNMENT for over 150 years RIGHT[?][?]

If you like the double stack 1911 style pistol, it is a great gun. I think Para Ordnance/Para-USA is a cut above the Springfield's, in both quality, reliability, and accuracy. Actually, if I didn't have it in my possestion yet, I would leave it where it was, and look for a Para-Ord 14/45 Limited.

My wife and I own P-14's accurate and run like clocks. Also have an LDA that has an amazing trigger pull for a DAO.

Yes, I know its not military springfield armory of yester year. No, I have never owned one. I respect your opinion regarding 1911's. I will avoid it. Thanks again.
